there is a senior lady here in mission with a senior horse (25+) who asked me last year if anything ever happened to her, would we take her horse...i said yes. nothing has happened to her except she is one year more senior and walks with a cane, and she is having a horrible time getting out to the barn this winter to care for her friend. we just don't have room right now and since all of our really senior guys look pretty darn good, i don't see that changing anytime soon. it makes me uncomfortable to be shuffling horses around, they don't like it so a permanent home would be best for this old mare. can everyone please talk her around? maybe with networking we can find her a good place to finish her retirement happily.
