Oliver lost the his potential home today.

Sheila  ·  Apr. 8, 2007

For those of you you know that Oliver was meeting a family that seemed very interested in him.... Leila got a phone call today saying that they didn't think they would be able to give him the special attention he needs because of his disability.. The only other family that has been interested in him returned him on the first day of a week end sleep over. We are going to try hi-lighting him on pet on the net and then we will probably keep him ourselves. We are by no means the perfect family for him... Since November with our ever array of changing foster dogs Oliver has not been a happy camper here. It is sad because he liked the potential families house sooo much better than ours. We will not be able to give Oliver the gift of a goodbye...which is what our job is suppose to be.

But the good news is they are going to meet one of the puppies we are fostering and if Jesse or Devon get picked then they will have found a really nice family.

Oh No , Sorry to read that. Ollie does love you guys though & if the pet on the net doesn't pan out anything, he will be a pretty lucky dog to become a full fledged member of your family.

oh...i am so sorry it didn't work out. oliver was pretty darn lucky to have found you guys for a foster...he is even luckier to have you for a permanent home...he is just too young and stupid to know that...if he was a little bit wiser and not so blythely innocent, he would be thanking his very lucky stars. oh well he is forever protected from learning the awful reality of how truly crappy a dogs life can be.
