swinger

Dr, Patrelli was out to see him today. he had some vitamin B12 injections and accupuncture treatments. it was interesting watching her go over his pressure points and to see him react. she pushed on one area above his hip and he definately flinched, and i said "that hurt him" she said that was the stomach pressure point. then she said, "i think this horse has ulcers too". the interesting part of this is mo told me that years ago, swinger had ulcers when she knew him. and he is a high strung, nervy horse and i bet the quatrisol is not helping his stomach much right now too. i never thought to tell patrelli this part of his history as it is unrelated to his current arthritic pain until she mentioned it. but i think it is fascinating that she was able to determine that this may be an issue for him based on her pressure point assessment. he had a few other areas that were really tender and she says she has some herbs that will probably help him. i will pick them up tomorrow.

i like this vet so much because she uses traditional, herbal, homeopathic, and naturopathic medicine in addition to the accupuncture. it is all out there, all the different kinds of medicine...why confine yourself to one single box when trying to help swinger or any of the others, to feel better.

she said he is so sore right now because his back end is very weak and he is shifting all his weight onto his front in compensation which is making everything so much worse for him. poor boy.

Did you get in touch with a farrier Carol?
Len uses Kelly Hartley @ 467-0522 - she was one of Steves's apprentice's. He says she is very good.
I priced boots for Swinger - they are $400.00.
