Rescue Journal

oh yeah

Carol  ·  Sep. 11, 2007

now that was a good idol finale...i love dreams coming true for good people.

and everyone was quiet except chicklet on and off so i really got to enjoy almost the full 2 hours of great moments.

cathy came today and did the barn while i was at my course, that was such a nice surprize to have that done when i got home so i filled all the inside feed bins for trina and eva tomorrow instead. that will make their day easier too. thx cathy, ripples in the pond from your act of kindness!

i have to make time tomorrow to book the cement guy and the bobcat operator so greg can switch over to enclosing the new barn area for percy and jeanette next week. we have to move on that before the weather changes. they do not want to be cold at night.

will and grace did well with their spueters today. they are fixed, vaccinated, de-wormed and tested and we have decided to place them together as soon as we find them a fabulous home. i struggled because of how i got them but the bottom line is they deserve the very best of homes and that is not here. thank you for the reminder call tammy, sigh i had forgotten them by the time i was heading home, so thx for saving me from having to turn around and go back for them.

saints will be in the Tysol calendar for 2008 so the photographer is coming out on sunday to do his thing...oh how will he possibly choose one saint to represent us. i sure am glad that i don't have to pick!

think positive thoughts tomorrow for tiny dave, the littlest duckling, he goes in tomorrow to try to fix his leg. i am going to be on pins and needles all day til i know that he is ok.

it is a good night tonight, everyone pretty much seems to be as well as they can be considering some of the age related health issues around here.

well, i am off to bed...getting up at 5 am was a pretty good idea today. i think i will try for it again tomorrow, it gives me more time to take care of a few things here before i go and i am not so rushed.

bon jovi sang a song on idol tonight..."this is my life" or something like that...anyway, i liked that song, i could relate to it. i will have to try to find the lyrics someday.

may everyone have a very good night and awaken to a wonderful day.

Yes Dexter would be a great choice however I also think it would be nice if Phoebe were seen in the background (yes I have a favorite).

Mo

I'm sorta inclined to hope the photographer picks Dexter ... of course now that I've typed that , suddenly Molly comes to mind... oh No ... now I see Gideon... I'm glad I don't have to pick too !

Sending good thoughts for Dave.... I've been thinking of him. I really hope he makes it.

Dear Carole
My choice (if I had one) for the Tisol calendar would be dear Cole and Maudie together - I think they are very much SAINTS dogs.

I agree, Idol was great. I really liked the song the winner sang at the end, it's still in my head.

Here's your lyrics:

BON JOVI LYRICS

"It's My Life"

This ain't a song for the broken-hearted
No silent prayer for the faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud

[Chorus:]
It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

This is for the ones who stood their ground
For Tommy and Gina who never backed down
Tomorrow's getting harder make no mistake
Luck ain't even lucky
Got to make your own breaks

Better stand tall when they're calling you out
Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down

[Chorus:]
It's my life
And it's now or never
'Cause I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just want to live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life!
