it's a sizzler today

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

this came on the bottom of an email today..i am stealing it...i like it!

bj is here..he is doing ok...better than i thought he would. he likes ice cream so we have a connection already. i will talk about him more as i get to know him but right now my first impression is...bj needs to find some of the really good and easy things in life, he has worried too much for far too long. i think i better stock up on a lot of ice cream!

chester the wrecked little pom never showed up...not sure what that is about but oh well, one less to worry about.

the vet came by to see gilbert...he is still stone blind. the CAE test will be back tomorrow but the vet is stumped on what was the cause of all of his troubles. IF gil doesn't get his sight back, that opens a whole new can of worms. blind dogs and cats i can deal with, a blind goat will be something new. oh well again...we will figure out that one for him when we absolutely have to..right now we wait and see.

and our other vet came to see misfit and some of the others. misfit really is not doing well and i am afraid it is just the end of the progression of her feline leukemia disease. she gave her an injectible ABX and said to keep on with the oral zithromax and i guess with misfit we wait and see too.

we moved gilbert back into the back yard pen cuz he can't stay in that barn forever. i spent the day goofing around and setting it up with lots of shady areas and he is happy to be out in the fresh air again.

it was HOT today...randy came and put in a new air conditioner for us so now most of the areas are decently cool. i know the weather is turning tomorrow but the hot weather will for sure return.

i am tired...done in by the heat. i am thinking of a nap before barn bed time...sounds like a good idea to me.
