her back end totally gave out and she was no longer able to stand. the vet came out and he felt as it was progressive, pain meds or no pain meds, the outcome was the same. she had some sedation and died peacefully.
percy sang his mourning song for her, he touched her flank gently with his chin. the sheep and carl seemed ok with it, i think they knew what i didn't want to believe. the others acknowledged her passing in their own unique ways...she was part of their herd, part of their misfit family here at saints, they took note of her death.
rest in peace dear grammy....we will all miss you.
