Rescue Journal

another favorite song

someone will probably be picking at me about copy write laws again (like phil collins gives a shit that some crazy woman from some senior leaky animal sanctuary has found not only personal meaning in a song he produced, but wants to share that song and lyrics with you so you can sing it in your head or get all soft and sappy and think about the saints animals when you hear the song on the radio like i do....)
anyway...i like this song and i wanted to share it with you because this is EXACTLY how i feel inside me when i think about my saints animal friends.

PHIL COLLINS - True Colors lyrics

You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged
though I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small

But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

Show me a smile then,
Don't be unhappy, can't remember
When I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you've taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I'll be there

And I'll see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow

Hey that's my song on my video I did. Okay Leila picked it. But you are freaking me out that you keep picking songs I like.

Yes, I love that song, and now it has new meaning. Cyndi Lauper did the original version, but Phil Collins does a nice job. Thanks for all the lyrics - there were a few I wasn't sure of - beautiful!

Very beautiful, I'm all teary eyed at the song, but I'm laughing my head off at your crazy woman comment, thanks for yet another insightful commentary.
