halo's passing was peaceful.

Carol  ·  Mar. 27, 2013

erin brought her steak today..lexi offered to share with her some of tess's cake, i bought her timbits..but she was not interested in any food. she was very tired and not feeling well today. renee and erin brought her into maple ridge and met me at the vet and there she passed quietly away surrounded by people who loved her.

halo was a very good dog..she had spunk, she had strength. i will forever treasure the memory of her last brief swim on sunday night. she lived every moment until she was ready to be done.

rest in peace halo, you were such a lovely dog.

All these personal comments over the past few weeks of the passind animals reminds me of Carol on the Serving The Faithful movie when she says that there are many special moments (some you see and some you don't) between the animals and volunteers. That Carol is one of my favorite and moving parts of the movie

Halo, I am so glad I was there the day you came in and I got to spend time with you. You claimed my sweater as your own, and I am so grateful you trusted me. You were a kind dog with a huge heart, and SAINTS was your home... I am glad I got to be part of that home

Yet again you at Saints have restored my faith in humanity. Thank you for what you were able to give Halo, and for all the extraordinary work that you do.
