another loss

Carol  ·  Aug. 29, 2013

apparently if you leave a bedroom window open a few inches, lance can smell freedom. a curtain and pillowcase did not fare too well the scent of possibility. weird that he killed the pillow case but left the pillow intact tho.
it is a bit nerve wracking but I gave him his second free run out in the fields. I just have to be really careful not to trick him back on a leash the same way twice cuz he quickly catches on to tricky me.

dawn lost ex-saint Trudy yesterday. Trudy has spent the better part of the last week in and out of the vets on and off IV's. dawn has taken in a lot of the saints dogs over the years but for some reason, Trudy got herself even more wrapped up in dawns heart strings than usual. I think this was a pretty tough loss for her.
I am so sorry for the loss of Trudy dawn and again I thank you for opening up your heart and your home to another without a home. Trudy ended her life truly well loved, she was a very lucky girl.
rest in peace trudy

Thank you everyone for your kind words, while they all take a part of my heart when they go she took a bigger slice than most. Carol said to me over a year ago when I took her "everyone needs to have a little dog in their life at least once" You are a wise woman....I never knew I could love a dog that much.

Trudy, I will miss hanging out in bed with you.You were very good dog and you will be forever missed. I am so sorry we couldn't do more for you, our time together was cut way to short.

Hello Dawn - On a few occasions, my husband and I had the pleasure of you taking us on our tours at Saints. We know how much you love all the animals there - it just shows- and we are so sorry to hear of your loss of Trudy. She was very lucky to have your companionship and a loving home.

Count me in with the rest who are sorry to hear of your loss Dawn. I remember Trudy well. She had a lot of spunk and spirit, and was lucky to have landed in your heart.
