SAINTS has a chance to win $15,000

Filed under: Voting — Sheila @ 9:59 am

A kind and anonymous individual entered SAINTS into Share The Bounty Charitable Giveaway Contest that Nature’s Bounty Canada is holding.

We have lost 9 days of voting (sorry Ann you sent this email on the 4th so I sat on it for two days – bad bad me) so not sure what our chances will be but please follow the rules.

Here is the link

https://www.sharethebounty.ca/VotingDefault.aspx

Unfortunately you must register on the first page to even be able to look at the charities that you can vote for or read the rules.

Individuals will need to register to vote. Each individual is allowed to vote for up to 5 charities each day.You may only submit a maximum of five (5) votes and one (1) bonus vote (if applicable) per Day throughout the Voting Period. You may vote (excluding your bonus vote, if applicable) a maximum of one (1) time per Charity per Day throughout the Voting Period. All of your votes for a given Day must be submitted at the same time.

PS If everyone who has a facebook page could “share” SAINTS facebook post on this contest that would be so helpful

Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Where: Mission Springs Brewing Company
Tickets: $25 each and include a free drink and a burger and fries.

There will be a silent auction, 50/50 draws, presentations, and room full of animal lovers. We are also looking for silent auction items and to sell tickets for the fundraiser.

Prior to the day of the event we are raising money. There will be three volunteer/animal area teams: (1) House (2) Barn (3) Multi-purpose building. Volunteers will be competing to raise as much money in donation pledges as they can until March 23rd for their respective team. The winning team will be announced at the Pub Night Blog readers and SAINTS supporters can and are certainly encouraged to contribute to one of the team’s (perhaps the area their favorite saint or volunteer resides). You can make a pledge through Pay Pal (just note what team it is for: house, barn, multi-purpose area) or make a donation by dropping it off to SAINTS or mailing a cheque to Sheila Kullar (just email events@saintsrescue.ca for an address). Only donations of $25.00 or more will receive a tax receipt. Please email events@saintsrescue.ca if you would like a pledge form.

Like last year, I will trade high resolution images for donations to this event – please email me if you are interested – jennhine@hotmail.com. Check out my photos on the SAINTS’ Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/SAINTS-rescue/117789878243948?sk=photos_albums

are you kidding me…this is ethical???

Filed under: SAINTS RESCUE 101,Voting — Carol @ 4:06 pm

not in my books..i am sure donors would just love being passed around..not. and where is the privacy and confidentiality in this either?
does anyone know is this universally accepted practice?
cuz it just feels TOTALLY wrong to me.

Good Afternoon,

My name is XXX, I am the Co-Executive Director and Co-Founder
of XXX., a nationally registered XXX
charitable organization. We would like to ask if your charity has a
policy in place where they will trade their Donors List with another
charity.

If you would be interested in exchanging our donor list please contact
me by email or by telephone at: xxxx

Thank you for your time.

well we didn’t have a policy in place before but we sure as heck do now…it is very simple policy …NO not EVER.
(oh and X is not an animal charity, just so no one thinks this is an animal rescue thing.)
