i am not a dog whisperer...

Carol  ·  Dec. 24, 2008

i am a dog suction cup....shlurrrrpppp.

i manage by wiggling and pushing a millimeter at a time to carve out about an inch or two of space fore and aft in bed. poodles and chi's along the front and big labs lining my head to toe back....sigh, it takes alot of sneaky effort and patience.

but eventually i have this little inch circle of free space surrounding me so i can twitch and breathe....until...

shluuurrrppp! like some kind of single brain entity they are in synchronized unison....and suck right back into me again.

carrie just called, she can't get up the hill...renee is off and i haven't heard from lane yet....ooops... he just called and can't get up the hill either....we are officially snowed in and on our own...this is going to suck. better get moving, there are alot animals needing care...when the going gets tough, the tough get going and today will be a tough day for all of us here.

bloody, freaking snow...it ruined my warm and fuzzy suction cup feeling...altho i might be looking forward to that really warm, stationary coccoon later on today.

wish me luck.

We have about a foot and a half of snow here right now. How much did you get?

I feel for you today, Carol. When the snow is already deep and still falling, the work always seems so much harder, at least to me.

Every time Mavi and Maddie have to go out, I have to re-shovel an area for them because they refuse to go when the snow is any more than an inch deep. ;)
