Maggie

Carol, my name is Maggie in Florida and I have been reading your blog for the last two years. I so admire your philosophies on how to help the animals and I know you're not perfect and you're the first one to admit, but I truly think you're one of the rare ones who got it right.

Your story about Fletcher was especially important to me and that's why I'm writing you now. I know how extremely busy you are, but (there's always a but) I so need your guidance on my situation even if it's a couple words. I know it's not fair, but I truly don't have anyone to turn to here. I have two pitbulls I rescued together. They were fine until they were around 3 and then they started fighting. I've been crating and rotating them for the past two years since a very bad fight. However, this morning, due to my stupidity, the other got out and they fought again. One always starts it. I can't find him a new home because of his aggression even though he's wonderful as an only dog, but who is going to want a dog with this kind of issue that I can trust when there so many sweet, non-aggressive dogs that need homes. I could give up the other one, but he is also dog reactive and I do love him dearly as well. I am considering putting the aggressive one to sleep and it's killing me.

There are no words to describe what I'm feeling right now.

I so felt your pain with your decision about Fletcher and I feel like I'm in a similar situation. What if Jett ever got out of the fence and someone was walking they're dog???

I'm sorry to bother you with this, please tell me what to do..my email is luvsfarscape@yahoo.com If you can't, I understand

Oh no, poor Babette . Such an unhappy girl when she arrived to a sweet girl. So sad to hear. What happened?
